FST Coatings Celebrates a Spectacular Day at PCA‑SDR Concours at Liberty Station

Sunshine, passionate car lovers, gleaming Porsches — the PCA‑San Diego Region’s Concours at Liberty Station at Ingram Plaza was everything automotive dreams are made of. FST Coatings had the pleasure of attending the event on September 21, 2025 and we were blown away by the artistry, enthusiasm, and community on display.
An Event to Remember
From early morning, Liberty Station was alive with the anticipation of Judging, Show & Shine, and admiration. Owners from near and far brought pristine Porsches of all years, models, and styles. The event, hosted by PCA‑SDR in partnership with Big Socal Euro, turned Liberty Station into a vibrant European‑style festival, complete with lush grass competition areas and rows of cars forming a living, mobile museum. With divisions ranging from Full Concours and Street, to Unrestored, Detail & Shine, and Special Categories (factory exotics, race cars etc.), the breadth of vehicles was truly impressive. MotorsportReg
Why We Loved It
The Quality of the Cars: Every vehicle seemed to tell a story — whether it was a freshly detailed vintage 356, a modern 911 in perfect condition, or something rare that turned heads. The craftsmanship, care, and pride owners put into their Porsches were evident in every panel and every trim. FST Coatings team members couldn’t stop admiring the finishes, the shine, even the under‑hood and interior details.
Great People, Great Atmosphere: It wasn’t just about the cars. The people behind them — the owners, volunteers, judges, organizers — created a warm, welcoming vibe. Conversations about “what polish was used,” “how long that ceramic coat held up,” or “where to source rare parts” flowed easily. Everyone shared tips, stories, and a mutual love for the marque.
Attention to Detail: As a coatings company, FST Coatings was delighted by how many entrants took detailing seriously — not just in appearance, but in the surface care, paint protection, and finishing touches. It’s events like this that really showcase how premium coatings and meticulous maintenance make a difference.
Scenic Setting + Festival Flavor: Liberty Station’s Ingram Plaza is a picturesque venue, and the collaboration with Big Socal Euro added flair — grassy judging areas, festival energy, lots of European cars, great food options, and free admission for spectators. MotorsportReg
Highlights
The judging process itself was inspiring — precise, fair, thorough. The different classification divisions meant that cars of all eras and levels (restored, unrestored, street driven) had a chance to shine. MotorsportReg
Seeing so many perfect ceramic or protective coatings in action — from deep mirror finishes to reflections so sharp you could see clouds in them.

Thank You & What’s Next
Thank you to PCA‑SDR, the sponsors (Porsche San Diego, One of One, Philip Theales Autowerks, Blossom Valley Detailing), Big Socal Euro, and all the car owners for putting on an outstanding show. FST Coatings is proud to have been part of the experience, and we're already looking forward to the next opportunity to see more cars, meet more people, and be inspired all over again.
